What folks are saying about Birding Scituate in field classes…

“The Fall 2018 Birding Scituate class was nothing short of phenomenal! I learned so much during the course, and it was wonderful to be part of a group of extremely nice people who were so enthusiastic to learn and share the experience. Stephen packed so much information into each class-- not only did we spot dozens of species of birds, but he also helped us to understand bird migration, behavior, and many other aspects of our local ecosystems. I am so glad that I took this course, and I plan to take the Spring 2019 course!” - Fall 2018 class participant

“This class helped me make the transition from backyard bird feeder watching to birdwatching in the field, comfortable with approach and tactics. Steve Maguire is a so passionate, it is impossible not to be infected with his love of birds and nature!”

- Fall 2018 class participant

“We had an absolute blast! The group was so fun and we really saw so many more birds than I possibly thought we could see!”

- Spring 2019 class participant

“The whole class was awesome. I learned so much. I'd never really "birded" before except from my kitchen window, so this took it all to a new level for me. My senses are so heightened now. I catch bites out of the corner of my eye and I so much more attuned to what is making noise in my back yard.”

- Fall 2020 class participant

“Thank you, thank you, thank you so much for doing the class. I can't wait for winter ducks and the spring. Monday night birding was a gem during this crazy fall. It gave me important moments of calm and remembering the beauty of what the natural world has out there if you just take a second to pause and breathe and look around.”
